Last June two of Washington County's Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRT) Andrew Smith and Thomas Larimar had an idea for bringing more technology related instructional resources to ALL the schools in Washington County. From this idea grew the plans for a mobile STEM Lab. While the original plan included the use of a bus, with some research and planning, it was decided to go with a box trailer instead. This allowed for greater flexibility and compliance with all regulations. The Lab has two main goals: 1.) To promote technology based career planning and 2.) To use these (and more) technologies to enhance learning and support current standards and classroom instruction. The "cool effect" is just an added bonus. Please watch the full episode at
