Choral alumni from any year are invited to join the Rebel Voices in singing the National Anthem at the Patrick Henry High School Homecoming Game on Friday, October 2.
Interested alumni should meet on the track at the 50-yard line at 6:40 p.m.

Patrick Henry High School students will have a unique opportunity to learn about coldwater conservation, water quality and Southwest Virginia’s aquatic ecosystems through Trout in the Classroom!
Mountain Empire Trout Unlimited recently delivered the equipment needed for the program, which will be led by Agriculture teacher and FFA advisor Makayla Harrison. Students will raise trout from eggs, giving them a hands-on look at the life cycle of a trout and the environmental conditions needed to support healthy aquatic ecosystems.
Thank you to Mountain Empire Trout Unlimited for sponsoring the program and to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources for providing the trout eggs!

Attention parents/guardians of PHHS students! Please look for consent forms that will be coming home with your student on September 16, 2026. These consent forms must be returned to school by September 25, 2026. More information is provided on this flyer.
PHHS would like to introduce the new Legacy Leaders Program!
Legacy Leaders is a newly redesigned student recognition program that builds upon the former Washington County Community Scholars initiative.
Designed to prepare students for success, Legacy Leaders recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, and a commitment to serving their communities.
All students in grades 9–12 are encouraged to enroll in Legacy Leaders. Students who participate will receive program guidelines outlining attendance, academic, behavior, and community service expectations.
To be eligible for recognition, students must:
Complete 20 hours of documented community service with nonprofit organizations each school year.
Submit all required community service documentation by April 1.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
Maintain 95% or better attendance.
Demonstrate positive citizenship by avoiding out-of-school suspensions and having no more than two discipline referrals during the school year.
Participate in one Legacy Leaders school-wide service project during their four years of high school.
Legacy Leaders offer students meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills, give back to their communities, and be recognized for their accomplishments throughout high school. A flyer with additional program details, student incentives, and participation information is attached.
We encourage all interested students to sign up and become part of the inaugural Legacy Leaders program.

Before the first home football game of the season, WCPS leaders will host a Community Q&A at Patrick Henry High School on Friday 8-28-26 at 5:45pm in the PHHS Auditorium..
This will be an opportunity for families, staff, students, alumni, and community members to stop by, ask questions, and learn more about the ideas currently being explored -- including potential opportunities, challenges, and what the process could look like moving forward.
We want to hear from you and continue the conversation as we explore what the future could look like for our students and communities.
We hope you'll join us, ask questions, and be part of the conversation.

Rebel Rummage Sale is THIS SATURDAY!
We’re still accepting donations at PHHS Wednesday–Friday, so if you’ve been meaning to clean out a closet, garage, or storage room, send it our way! Clothes, home décor, household items, books, toys, seasonal items, and more are welcome.
Want to sell your own stuff instead? Vendor spots are still available! Vendors can begin setting up at 7:00 AM Saturday, and spots are first come, first served.
