REGION 1D: Patrick Henry powers past J.I. Burton

EMORY, Va. – The old-school running play is known as Super Power and it has gotten superior results for Patrick Henry High School’s football team this season.

“I’ve probably ran that play 2,000 times,” said PH senior offensive lineman Isaac Eldreth. “It’s our bread and butter.”

Rolling up 348 rushing yards and capitalizing on every opportunity, Patrick Henry powered its way to a 61-36 win over J.I. Burton on Saturday afternoon in the second round of the VHSL Region 1D football playoffs at Emory & Henry College’s Fred Selfe Stadium.
